Gogi - London
About This Spot
Stepping into Gogi on Edgware Road feels like slipping into a quietly vibrant corner of Seoul tucked into the heart of London. The space is cozy but thoughtfully arranged, echoing a balance of contemporary ease with touches of Korean tradition—warm woods, soft lighting, and an inviting hum of conversation that encourages you to take your time. It’s the kind of place where the pace gently slows, inviting connection whether you’re sharing a meal with friends or quietly savoring the art of Korean barbecue on your own.
At Gogi, the experience revolves around the ritual of gathering around the grill, but it’s never rushed or overwhelming. The intimate setting offers a sense of privacy despite its modest size, allowing each group to feel spaced out comfortably. Attentive, friendly staff guide you through the unfolding meal, adding a reassuring human touch that feels genuine and unhurried.
The culinary journey here is a mix of familiar comforts and thoughtful surprises. Meat and seafood sizzle and char with a subtle heat that lifts the deep, smoky flavors without overpowering the palate. Around the grill, shared plates become moments of discovery—whether it’s the layered bite of thinly sliced pork belly wrapped in cabbage, the gentle pop of marinated oysters, or a steaming bowl of rice accentuated just right. Even the sides carry their own stories, from the slight tang of kimchi fried rice to the soft, custardy egg fried rice that’s often praised well beyond the main courses.
What lingers longest is the warmth woven into the atmosphere—both from the grill and the hospitality. Regulars return not just out of loyalty to the food, but also because each visit feels like a quiet celebration, a place where Korean flavor traditions are shared openly yet with a sense of reverence. It’s a destination for those who come seeking something different from the usual London fare, a spot where comfort and discovery meet around the table.

What a great discovery! Following other users' comments, we came to this place motivated to try a different flavor, something far removed from the traditionals in London... fish & chips, kevab, or curry. Luckily, we were in the area and, doubly so, we were able to get a table without a reservation... I recommend booking in advance because the place is small and you might not get a seat or have to wait. The food isn't pretentious! And the flavor was delicious! Sometimes you don't need a ton of spices, just the natural flavor of meat roasted freshly at your table. Simply wow! I want to come back!!!

My son celebrated the birthday here and he loves it. We have been here for quite a few times, they change the menu and we still love it especially the japchae. We came here this time as they have special 30% discount of the food. We order a bottle of wine and some drinks and barbecue food.

The food is nice and the staff are very attentive. However, I’m not sure I love the Korean BBQ. I’ve had previous experiences where the side dishes offered with the meats were much nicer, and the marinades on the cuts were better as well. So I don’t think I would go back for the BBQ, but their egg fried rice is delicious

Authentic Korean Flavors & Warm Hospitality I recently dined at Gogi and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with a modern yet traditional Korean feel. The food was absolutely delicious — everything was packed with bold, authentic flavors. I ordered Korean BBQ, and was exceptional. Service was excellent. The staff were attentive, friendly, and more than happy to explain dishes to us. You could tell they take pride in their food and genuinely care about their customers’ experience. Whether you’re new to Korean cuisine or a longtime fan, this place is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!

Food was great. We ordered a shrimp and chives pancake, a bossam and a galbitang. Just the two of us so couldn’t try everything. Staff is super friendly. Though it’s not a huge restaurant the seatings is spacious and quite private. Will defo go back to try other food on the menu. Going after 6:30 is great as plenty of parking on the side street. Food is yummy they even serve raw marinated oyster under the pickles for the bossam, just like how they do it in Korea.

Fantastic dinner at Gogi Korean BBQ! The beef bulgogi and pork belly were full of flavour, especially when wrapped in fresh lettuce with all the tasty sides. Plus, they’ve got a great deal of 20% off on week nights! Highly recommend for a delicious and fun Korean BBQ night out

Good quality Korean BBQ restaurant. Food are fresh and served with good portions. Atmosphere is good as they play k-pop in the background. Though the restaurant is a bit small, and you are sitting very closely to other people. If you want some privacy or even a chat with your friends, I wouldn’t suggest this restaurant to have a catch up when you are dining in. Me and my friends keep shouting at each other as we can’t hear anything beside other people’s conversations and the background music.
